#MerryChristmasStarbucks - I'm a Christian rebel.

Hello! I saw this in the news that Christians are angry with Starbucks and this really made me angry. From the beginning of time, Starbucks has never been a Christian company and they have never said they hate Christians.. but these supposed "Christians" are really not helping themselves look good.

Here's the deal. Christians shouldn't be mad that Starbucks isn't putting crosses or snowflakes on their traditional red cups. In the end, it is up to the company (i.e. Starbucks) how they decorate for the holidays. I say Merry Christmas to everyone I see, I don't stick with 'Happy Holidays' . But I guess this season I will be a Christian rebel as I still fully intend on 100% fully enjoying my Starbucks drinks with the red cups because at the end of the day - I'd rather use my Christian faith as a way to shine a light into the lives of others instead of casting shame and judgment.

Point is - who cares what the holiday red cups at Starbucks look like? I love the bold red color of the cups. Living in FL, its 90 degrees in November so holding a bright red cup to me makes it feel more like Christmas!

When I accepted Christ into my life, I didn't make the promise that I would boycott businesses that don't share my faith. This is the exact opposite of what Christ wants us to do. ESPECIALLY after the whole Chickfila & Gay marriage news story that rocked America. People threw rocks and wanted to flog Christians then so in return we see that Starbucks doesn't support our faith by what their cups look like and show everyone how rude & hateful 'Christians' are.  NOT COOL!

That is not the Christian I am. Those are the hateful, ignorant, mean spirited ones that are not changing the world the way Christ intended us to. He wants us to share Him in the world & be a shining light while being respectful of differing beliefs.

So I will still be going to Starbucks this Christmas season. For all y'all who won't because of the silly cup issue, more for me!

****************************************************************************************************

I don't usually write posts like this inspired by the media. But please understand that I hope more Christians view my point than others. With that said, I am very excited for Thanksgiving & Christmas. They are my favorite part of the year. :)

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

friday 5 :)

Hooray for the weekend! Here's to celebrating the weekend & the top 5 moments of the week.

1) Sonny's wings are legit. At the end of August, I was intro'd to Sonny's dry rubbed wings. Wings are my jam, I don't really allow myself to have them but they are incredible. This week I was with my friend for lunch & I got to have my wings again. They were incredible but I really made the random on lookers who watched me dive in - something to talk about.

2) Weight loss. I refuse to lie to myself or anyone. I took a break for my 30th birthday & its been a struggle to get back but today I feel I overdid it with the snacks and it strangely gave me the kick to get back full force. I am excited to get back into my better ways and get off this plateau.

3) MASH. This game made me laugh every single time I played it out for myself or if a friend played it out. Each friend had a different version & I shared this pic yesterday for #throwback & it just made me laugh for a good 5 minutes!!

4) October 14th - 6th anniversary of when we truly started our lives together. I knew we'd get married eventually & this date is something I always celebrate every year. :)

5)  I saw this picture earlier this week and it made me smile. I don't aim to be a Kim K. as my role model but more of a Diana for obvious reasons. This quote also inspires me as I am working on my book more frequently. I sent out a chapter to friends this week to critique and proof, overall to make sure it reads like I want it too. This book is my passion in life to present myself as one who works hard for success not just given to them.

Cheers to the weekend. Time to sleep in some, workout like a beast, clean my house, hopefully a Starbucks date with my sister. Enjoy your weekend!  - J

Friday 5 :)

Hooray! It's finally FRIDAY!! :) :) Today I'm celebrating the top 5 moments of my week.

[ONE.]

My dad always, always knows when I need a text to encourage. He sends the best Bible verses or he just knows how to make my day. Today was one of these days, where I got this text from him. He is seriously the best dad and his encouragement is always appreciated. :)

[TWO.]

I am in LOVE with my Target Beauty Box. Due to the fact that I am in student loan repayment, I cannot afford or justify getting an ipsy or Birchbox monthly subscription -- I am absolutely in LOVE with these boxes from Target. Each one is $5 - free shipping. This box is my 2nd, and included products from Dove, Shea Moisture & a coupon for $3 off $15. Will be redeeming that this weekend for more makeup!

With these boxes coming out every few months, I always stock up when they come out as they sell out ULTRA fast. They also make perfect gifts. :)

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

[THREE.]

At the beginning of the month, I got two really incredible birthday gifts. My 30th birthday is 7 DAYS from tomorrow. I am SO excited. :) :) Anywho, this month I got to pay off my smallest student loan, so I only have 2 left & they are beasts. My second gift: celebrating my health. I've been part of the JessicaSmithTV Community. She's a certified fitness trainer through YouTube and I love her workouts. I've been stocking up on her DVD's but my husband's gift for my birthday was her newest 30 Day Walk On challenge. I finished Day 15 last night and I love this DVD set. I'm still making a decent dent on my weight loss and these DVDs are a perfect add on to my daily workouts. :)

So this is definitely been a journey for the past year. I am on track to my #size9progress & my future self is definitely thanking me. I am so close. :)

[FOUR.]

I am not a Pumpkin Spice fan but I do love me some candy corn/pumpkin. I definitely treated myself to some last weekend. I am seeing more in my future which is ironic but I definitely don't eat 80 lbs at once. I love this time of year because its everywhere. :)

This particular one is Sea Salt Chocolate. I found it at Target and it is delicious. I bought more than I should but I am saving some for the fall holidays when I need a boost. YAY.

[FIVE.]

Sometimes you need inspiration so you don't eat everything in sight. This is me with dark chocolate lately. I used to hate it and sometimes I just want cake but I found this the other night & I laughed for 10 minutes. ;)

Almost like Ryan Gosling cares about my #size9goal & wants me to keep hitting it hard.

Thanks for stopping by. I am in so much need of sleeping in or a nap. Disney plans on Saturday, World of Beer date night Sunday, catching up on SCANDAL and getting some OT this weekend. :)

throwback thursday.//epcot date night.

Happy second day of fall. I wish Florida would get it together. I am jealous of my friends who see leaves changing colors, cool weather for boots, and all those other beautiful things.

I am sure each thursday you see on Facebook/IG/Twitter - all these #tbt pictures. Some of them are pretty hilarious, some are cute and some are face palms. I figured I'd start posting my #tbt on here - promising to myself - no really embarassing photo choices.

Today's #tbt for you - a collage of a recent Epcot date with my favorite.
This weekend, the Food & Wine Festival starts, and I'm excited to head out there in a few days. Plus they're adding a concert series - I saw some of the great names listed & Hanson is coming in November. :)

My husband & I are pretty big Disney fans. We love our passes and its truly the place where both of us relax the most. I am excited to get some Starbucks, I have a free drink expiring soon.  My big thing at any Disney park is snapping pictures of fireworks.

Figured this weekly #tbt love post would be a quick way to stop not blogging. Take Care! Starting tomorrow, I will be re-joining the Friday 5 posts that I used to love last year. I hope you'll stop by. :)

Tomorrow is Friday. YAY. :) :) :)

TGIF:Currently/Lately & Soon.

Hello again. Thanks for stopping by this week as I countdown to my 30th birthday. 2 weeks from tomorrow, officially. :) I am SO SO thrilled to start this next era. Yesterday I made more plans for my celebration - I am booked solid on my birthday to celebrate with my husband and I didn't want a lot of drama/frustration for my special day - so I promised him that my birthday was our day alone. :)

After this week of sharing some of my favorite birthdays, I also don't feel like digging into my personal photos of my childhood so I am going to end that cute series. It takes up more time than I am willing to give. Hope you enjoyed it.

This morning as I sat in the eternity of unmoving traffic in my work commute - I knew I needed to post and celebrate my life with what's current and upcoming. Thank God its Friday. :)

Currently/Lately:
- I am making a good dent in my weight loss. These 2 weeks, we get up an hour early and get our walk on - and I've been loving the time with C before the chaos of the day.

- I am trying do a big purge of unneeded crap in our house. Some of it's just there, taking up space and if it's all over the place - its keeping me from investing in Target's organization home swag. ;) ;)
(Clearly my priorities are in order, riiiiight?)

- I am loving my redder hair. I love this hair dye and I am hopefully cutting my hair this weekend, I have to re-convince myself to do it. I feel like Ariel. & I love it.

- I didn't really go anywhere this summer because of the whole I'm a grownup with limited vacation days. But I have that I need a roadtrip itch. I am the only one because my hubs is perfectly okay without one.

- Craving the beach, it's only an hour away and I need it back in my life. #beachwithdrawals

-I am loving the reactions from others now that I dove into using makeup, more than ever. I put my face on before work and I am witnessing alot more people are friendlier, kinda.

- I am addicted to shopping at etsy. I bought a few #disneyinspired birthday treats and I love it. I just hope I get them in time. But I fully plan on spending more time there especially when we have kids. Etsy is my new Pinterest.

Soon:
- I start my thirties. & I am really excited. Lots that I started in my twenties that will be wrapped up in this era. :) Such as done paying off student loans, starting a family, hopefully done with mortgage//new home.

- Weather will be cooling off in Florida. I am mostly thrilled because I have a 5K to prep for in January. I want to run more of it, train harder and obviously have lost a TON more weight.

- Thanksgiving/Christmas - these are my 2 favorite holidays of the year besides Easter. I love all the decor, the food, time with family, wrapping gifts (yes, its a favorite), shopping, the food, just everything.

- We'll be even more involved at our new church. Finally getting back into this rhythm and I love it. This church gives us both what we needed spiritually and I look forward to having kids to bring them here. :)

- Changes to my job: I cannot reveal anything until I get more to go off but changes are coming and I am SO SO SO happy about this. This all went down this week and its very exciting.

-  I will have to get my hands on my favorite movie ever. Currently $10 on blu-ray @ Amazon. Hoping someone gives me a giftcard for my birthday. :) I posted this on my IG today, you're welcome. Ps. if you have IG - follow me.

Excited to celebrate belatedly with my Dad whose birthday was Wednesday. :) Have a fantastic weekend. Cheers to sleeping in tomorrow! <3

Three birthdays to honor + celebrate today!

Today I am excitedly honoring and celebrating 3 awesome people who graced the world with their presence on Sept 16th :)

1) My Dad. Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday. He is my biggest cheerleader and the biggest heart for ministry. He has always supported me in everything I do, and lately with my weight loss milestones always knows how to encourage me. He is the best dad in the universe, I am biased. :)

#2) Krissa. My sister in law & brother are such a good match for each other. They've gifted me with a nephew and a niece, and a pup who I love. :) I was so glad that I got to have her as my matron of honor in my wedding. I am so glad they live local.

#3) Grandma Williams: My husband's grandma passed away last year. This year has been alot of hard 'firsts' for my mother in law without her mom. I can't imagine how hard it has been to celebrate birthdays, holidays, last days of school (she is a middle school/special needs teacher) and now its her first birthday in Heaven. I am glad she is with Jesus today. While I miss her hugs, and her sweet demeanor - I appreciate that I got to know her right after C & I started dating. She welcomed me into the family like I was already related. What a sweet lady who is rightfully missed.

Thanks for stopping by to celebrate these 3 big family birthdays today. I've had a blast remembering my birthdays and getting back into blogging again. Cheers to tomorrow being Thursday. :) -- J

Countdown to THIRTY//Day 18.

Hooray, tomorrow is Wednesday, it is also both my Dad & SIL's birthdays :) As you can tell - I am most excited for my birthday. Each day I get more excited. I pre-ordered some gifts for myself: Pitch Perfect 2. I paid off a student loan. I ordered from Etsy for the first time ever.. & I am hoping to score some #thredUP swag as well .

Tonight to continue on my blog post series - I am going to excitedly remember another of my little me birthdays: Number 8.

When I celebrated this birthday, my family & I were living in PA - and when you're a kid - one of the COOLEST birthdays you could have - McDonalds. :) I enjoyed every moment. I celebrated with some of my friends & immediate family. I also walked away with some fairly sweet swag.
I was not living in PA very long because my Dad got
transferred to FL where I grew up. But I say in that year of PA, I learned life lessons you couldn't wish for on your birthday.

I learned that without my family - nothing meant as much. I learned that when my brother takes your barbies when it rains so they get dried in the mud - its not ideal or fun to dig out.

My 8th birthday was a great celebration. & now you get to see a tiny glimpse straight from my personal pictures.. I had a great childhood, & I am having a blast remembering some of my favorite past birthdays. :)

As always, thanks for stopping by and celebrating with me. I hope you will be back tomorrow again to see what birthday is next to remember & honor again :) Time to hit the hay - busy day ahead. :)

Countdown to THIRTY://Day 19.

Hope your week is off and running to a positive start. Thanks for stopping by again today as I remember another favorite birthday past along my countdown to starting my 30's era. I am REALLY excited if you can't tell. :)

Tonight I want to remember and celebrate my 2nd birthday. As I mentioned yesterday, I lived up north for the first 5+ years of my life and all my immediate family lived close so I celebrated these birthdays with them. It wasn't uncommon for my multi talented mom to make me a cake, sew me a gift or a combination of these. This particular birthday is my favorite facial expression. I plan on fully recreating this same picture on my 30th. I think it will be a fine joint celebration with cupcakes WITH the same expression.

I showed this picture to some of my coworkers recently and one of them mentioned that hilarious facial expression, "Is that your first time ever having cake?" Haha. No! But it was a homemade Cabbage Patch made of chocolate -- who wouldn't enjoy that? - my reply.

As most of you know, God hasn't blessed my husband & I with our own small baseball team of kids. My mom recently gifted me with some cake pans she had in her house that she didn't want anymore - so for my kids I have some different designs to choose from - Big Bird, Little Mermaid (my eyes got wide with excitement when I got this!), Winnie the Pooh, and gingerbread. I love to find cake pans. These sales get me excited. Yep, I am quirky that way. & that's okay.

My second birthday was apparently pretty fantastic. Every time I see it - it makes me smile.
& even though this year I am blowing out candles for number 30 really soon -- I am really really excited to start this new chapter. I had an incredible childhood. & thus far, adulting hasn't been too horrible.

Again, thanks for stopping by, if nothing else to see what birthday I choose. I hope you'll stop by tomorrow and through the rest of this mini blog post series. - J

Countdown to THIRTY//Day Twenty.

20 days left of my 20's & then I flip the page to begin the new era of my THIRTIES. My husband, family & bestest friends know that I get really, really excited about my birthday. In fact, if you're familiar with my favorite show - How I Met Your Mother - I am pretty much a twin of Lily every birthday of mine. You're welcome.

Today I am starting this new mini blog post series as I celebrate my favorite birthdays in the past 29 years. I've been planning my 30th since the day I turned 29 & I'm not kidding. :)

Today I am going to remember my sixth birthday. When I was little - I technically had 2 celebrations. What kid doesn't like that? One party was strictly for family since I lived up north during that time and another for friends. My grandpa (may he rest in peace) video recorded this particular birthday. It's the cutest thing to watch because of how small my cousins are. These days I do miss my family birthday celebrations but the friends/family in my life - I am grateful for them.

What made my 6th birthday special was because it sparked my love for Ariel//Little Mermaid. Every single gift I got that year was Little Mermaid & I loved every moment of it. The clothes, the dolls, everything. :) & my mom truly outdid herself. She sewed me a Little Mermaid pillow (still sleep with it every night) & a Little Mermaid dress with a matching bow. Saving both for my future daughter to wear. <3

My sixth birthday was a legendary day. Truly I have the best family and friends to celebrate with. Memories were created. My mom baked me a dollcake - I now have the same dollcake set to make for my future kids. And I cannot wait for the day when I have kids. I really wish I would STOP getting asked from certain people when that would be. All I know is that I am making dents in my weight loss and when God wants me to bless us - that He will. Until then, I will countdown til I'm officially THIRTY. :)

Have a truly fantastic rest of your weekend. Much to do before my 6am alarm for working out. - J

Our Adventure updates.. of sorts.

Hello again.

As Central Florida has promised, the weather and humidity is trying to make me glow with sweat at 7am. It is truly an attractive image. Google Orlando weather and you'll be empathizing with me.

Last month, my husband & I celebrated 4 magical years together being married. We celebrated with 4Rivers and it was incredible. Next year is our 5th & we're hoping for big celebrations.

 other adventures.

Game night with family & catching Minions in theaters opening weekend. We don't have kids yet, and at first the only couple without any but no regret on my end. My husband was imitating 'Barney Stinson' from How I Met Your Mother. ;)

Other than that - at the end of June - I had a work injury that scratched me up pretty bad. Slip n sliding on concrete is never recommended. Hurt myself & my pride.

& as of late - i've been having starbucks dates + supporting my future pro basketball sister.

Tomorrow - we're having our first #CelebrateRobinWilliams tribute movie night in honor of the late actor who changed our lives with his movies. I am pretty sure we're watching Mrs Doubtfire to kick this annual tradition of ours off. Tomorrow is his birthday and surely I hope he is at peace. :) -- J

#HelloJune

Hooray, first week of June. I am so happy you've arrived. Here are the best parts of this month:

Because I am a Gilmore Girls fan - every June 3rd - it makes me wish Luke & Lorelai did get married. That show always makes me smile. Especially if Paris Gellar is involved.

I digress.

Because I live in Central Florida - I can say that June brings daily 3pm monsoon rain storms, the start of hurricane season and since last month - crazy heat temperatures that are simply not cool. See below.*

Saturday is my brother's birthday. I won't be spending it with him but it's fun to celebrate.

Exercise has become my newest and favorite addiction. The first thing I do when I get home is working out because I love it. I've been working out for months. This month I joined the #5MileChallenge partnered with both SparkPeople & my other favorite certified personal trainer I discovered last year - JessicaSmithTV. Check it out here! :) Her workouts empower me and make me feel drenched with sweat. But after all - one of my favorite quotes of hers - Sweat is our fat crying.

June 18th - my hubs & I are celebrating 4 years being married with our favorite: 4 Rivers. This is the bees knees of BBQ here in Central Florida. I promise it will make your day. We cannot wait - this is our favorite place to eat. & this year I get to enjoy one of their incredible cupcakes too. Their Bake Shop - a cupcake is not one to eat alone.

At the end of the month, one of my absolute close friends also celebrates her birthday. I haven't seen her since my wedding but I hope I will see her before I have kids ;) She's one of those friends you know you'll have forever. She is full of encouragement and I was blessed to meet her in college.

In other news - I didn't get my second job at Target. I was bummed for a few days but honestly it wasn't the right timing. I would've been killing myself mentally to make a few extra $$ . Granted this would be going towards my student loans but this really pushed me to have a chat with my boss about finding my next step within the company. After 5 years (in January) I know that this was what God really had planned for me. It's time to do something different and I am on my way :)

So far, this month has been insightful. I've been working on my goals, both for weight loss and for investing in my home. My 30 is in 4 months and it's all about being my best version. That's my big goal. <3

As always, thank you for stopping by. - The Robinson's.

Farewells, Family & Fresh Perspective.

10pm on Sunday night seems like a perfect time to update life in the Robinson household. Our life has been all over the place for the past couple of months. I guess I should start back in March, it was the week of my husband's birthday when my grandpa got really sick. He'd had issues here and there but he's a fighter. He fought hard, despite what ailments hit him but he w as tired of being sick and not feeling good.

One of my last memories I (Jess) have with him was holding his hand after he had just woken up, I had taken a sick day to be with family at the hospital because we weren't sure if this was the end. He was with us a few more days but what my Mom and I had hoped would be a fun day over with family, celebrating Pie Day (3/14) was spent in tears, hugging each other and grieving the loss of my grandfather who had passed away that morning. I was so blessed to go to Ohio to see my family after a decade to honor his legacy. {He was in the Marines so while I am glad to have off for Memorial Day, I am thankful for his & many others who fought for our freedom.}

Besides my husband & my cousin's fiance, this is a collective group shot of all the grand-kids with our Grandma after the funeral. We haven't been together in over a decade and I don't often see them except when it's a funeral, sadly.

Jumping onward + upward, friends.

My husband celebrated his last birthday in his twenties the day after my grandfather went to be with Jesus. His parents arrived in town that afternoon but I was able to celebrate the early hours with him in the morning/early afternoon. We had our Wawa coffee, and then spent time at Typhoon Lagoon. Here's us together in front of Magic Kingdom, we essentially live there.

A month after this, we celebrated our annual Disney cruise - sailing out of Miami which was a first for us. We went to Castaway Cay which I could live here year round if Disney offered me a spot but I couldn't live without our pups. We also went to Key West which I've never been there and it was fun to enjoy authentic Key Lime Pie in the Keys.

Consider yourself caught up, friends :) Chris and I are continuing our trek of working out and looking good. My 30th is a few short months away and I want to feel my best for a new chapter beginning. The unofficial summer months of Florida have begun unfortunately due to the everyday killer heat, no breeze and 100 daily temps... A/C is my best friend.

In a couple weeks we're celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary with a nice dinner out and most likely at the parks that weekend. A couple weeks after this, we get to spend time with my in-love's at Disney for a few days. Summer months are birthday central - my MIL's, both my sister's, one of my good friend's -- so this girl will be gettin her shopping fix :)

In the effort to not bore you with the details - here's hoping my next update next month will not take as long and be as if not more eventful. As always, thank you for stopping by.

Dessange Review//Influenster

Hello. All week I've been meaning to pop back in and not be on my unofficial blogging hiatus. I am working on an update post but it just hasn't been finished. Until then, enjoy this review of a Parisian shampoo/conditioner/hair treatment called Dessange that I kind of fell in love with.

Weird, right? How do you fall in love with your shampoo?

Well. it happens. & it happened to me.

Enter in Influenster. I received the Dessange Oleo Miracle set of shampoo/conditioner/leave in treatment a month ago. This shampoo works on thick hair, y'all. That's a miracle in itself.

I usually didn't have to do much to style it. Sometimes I used my flat iron to make it look even better. & it did. Each time I used it - I got a swarm of compliments and it made my hair, which kind of resembles DeeDee Pickles with the humidity of FL - but it gave me confidence and made me feel like a model.

What is perfect about this shampoo is that it is premium, it's Parisian but while I received it for FREE - you can find it at Target for $10. Compared to other brands I've used like Tea Tree shampoo, Biolage by Matrix- that's a smaller fraction of the cost.

I used to just buy cheapy shampoo but my husband also loves it and supports this indulgence for me.

Try this out!! :)

I heart you, Ron Swanson.

It is only Wednesday.

& that means since Parks & Rec officially ended last night - I need to remember some of the best GIF's from this show. Fun fact: The theme song from this show was our processional song at our wedding. One of the many things my hubs & I both like :)

Therefore, it's only right that this is my blog post until Saturday. By then, the craziness will have ended at work & I will share our latest Disney adventure! So, stay tuned :)

Ron Swanson is the bees knees of logic and yet irony.

Why we plan our A D V E N T U R E S.

To answer this simply, hubs & I are planners.

Adventure is worthwhile in itself. - Amelia Earhart
From as early as I can remember, I've been the girl who got really excited for 'Back to School' shopping. & not for the reason of school supplies. I did love getting new stuff but my fave part was picking out a cutesy planner for the year. By the end of my semesters in college, I'd legit have like 3-4 planners. Yeah. #awkward - No one needs that many planners! I'd plan to buy more planners. When I met my husband, I am pretty sure he thought intially this weird obsessive planning streak was NOT attractive. ;)

I've been really happily blessed to do life with the man of mine. Our 1st big adventure - I moved from my hometown after graduating college halfway around the world to Kansas, small town life - for him. No regrets - I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! When we first started dating & had a lot more time on our hands - we could afford to do things on a whim. We could take a night at the carnival after our graduate classes ended. We could walk from our apartment to the snow cone shop at the end of the road at 10pm. We bought a car together. We adopted our two dogs together. We made promises to live our lives together, one adventure at a time. Sometimes it feels like our life gets clogged up, midst the dreams to travel, live at Disney ;), and take all of the cruises we find. It really genuinely feels like that at times.

Because our adventures have kind of transformed into other areas of our life - we have mini adventures of sorts: We're both getting fit/healthy so we can start a family. We make our fast passes so we can enjoy our frequent Disney trips without standing in line for 75 minutes. I coupon/use apps and save money while babysitting here & there so to pay down student loan debt. We live pretty frugally for the purpose of paying down loans faster. We take care of our house, inside and out for the idea of having a sanctuary after work - something to be proud of. To really live on the wild side, I keep Groupon and Target on my fingertips to find more date nights/home decor that we love.

We make our vacation plans well in advance for our own reasons. Sometimes we stay up late talking. Regardless of the adventures we want to have, we'll always be planning first. One day the student loans and the mortgage will be paid off, we'll have a family and we'll be parents making decisions to make sure our kids have adventures of their own. But for right now, I am a planner who loves her adventures.

Thanks for stopping by! ~ The Robinsons, xo.

Blog Name change//Valentine's Day weekend edition.

I am still smiling, y'all from the weekend I had.

These last few days I decided I need to change my blog name. When I first started this blog, I liked the combination but for the past few months - I was reminded that I am doing and enjoying life with my hubs. In case he ever decides to hop onto the blogging train, I want him to feel like he can and has a spot to do this. So going forward (until my domain changes), we're now 'Adventures with The Robinson's.' So I hope you'll continue to join us as we keep posting our life together. :) Who knows, maybe I will convince him to share his Disney news on here for those who may love Disney as much as we do? Time will tell.

Onward & upward...

That also could be from my delish Hazelnut/Mocha coffee from Wawa before work, which is a rare treat. Yesterday, my hubs started his first day at his new role. I am SO blessed we work for the same university and now we'll have a chance to work a tad closer in the same department ;)

But let me slightly back up.

Saturday morning, my alarm went off at 5:30am - and I excitedly got up. All my training for the past 9 weeks & it was time for my much anticipated race. Wasn't loving the windy 30 degree weather but I was grateful my parents went with me. :)

After the race, I got to meet my beautiful niece. She is a week old already. I kept giving her kisses and talking to her, like how cute her big brother is and how truly gorgeous she is. I can't post pictures as this is privacy standard from her parents. But she is absolutely adorable & for this second time aunt - I will be spoiling her like her brother. :)

Fast forward to Saturday evening. My husband & I treat Valentine's Day as a date night, it's not something we celebrate really. But I got each of us one of the $1 chocolate hearts. & a small cookie cake. This year our date night was one of the restaurants at Epcot - Via Napoli. They make the pizza fresh, all of the servers are from Italy and it overlooks the lake on the World Showcase. :)

The last picture is the brick oven they cook all the pizzas in which are all mouths. I couldn't get a clear picture because this restaurant is always busy with servers/guests running around. But it was fun to eat somewhere different for once. :)

Thank you for stopping by!
